a brief shoot out scene

It was the biggest thing he had ever seen in his life.  Everything was focused on the barrel of the cannon now pointing at his head.
"Throw the gun down or I'll blow your fucking head off. "
Cameron cringed at the booming voice, and looked back with a paralyzed innocence. He could feel a warm flow cascading down his pants and sank limply onto the floor, having lost all motor control but never losing eye contact with the soldier's gun.
"The gun, toss the fucking gun asshole."
The soldier cocked his weapon and brought it to within inches of Cameron's forehead.  His eyes closed tightly as if by instinct and his body braced itself for the inevitable.
Shit...the gun...it was as if a light bulb went off in his head.  His brain, trying desperately for some way to keep him alive flashed on the pistol still in his right hand.  His eyes widened in mute understanding and he slid the gun across the floor like a hot potato.  Perhaps there was a way out of this after all.
Without his gun Cameron was no threat at all, even with it he wasn't really that much of a threat to anyone but himself, hopefully the soldier would realize that and simply tie him up with the security guard.  Right, tie him up with the unconscious security guard and then be on their way, the only problem was Cameron had just untied the security guard five minutes ago.
"Hey asshole, forget about me"
Cameron watched in slow motion as the soldier turned toward the guard station and raised his weapon.  Training and experience were no match for the unexpected appearance of a fat, sixty year old army vet with a blazing forty five in his hand.  Three bullets hit the soldier before he realized what had happened, two in the chest and one in the head, he was dead before he hit the ground.
