A New Beginning

The end of the Construct Cup
brings thoughts of a new beginning,
thirty poems written in thirty days
now a short break
to give me the breath to start anew.

The lessons I have learned are priceless
opening my heart and my mind
to a life of poetry previously unexplored,
now I begin with a clean slate
all of my mistakes
and heartaches erased
with only a folder of memories
left behind.

Though my destination is uncertain
I have already faced my fears
and followed through,
I can open my heart
to a new beginning
holding nothing back
in this wonderful world of poetry
that awaits me.
