my way of expressing my recent inability to let go of an important person constructively.
Fixed on the porch waiting for him to come home,
the light from the doorway deluge’s her silhouette
as pondering's weld her to the threshold.
Knee caps corroded from constricting against concrete
tauten between her toes,
thighs bowed like crowbars begging to discharge
some twisted sense of loyalty.
