My second short story, less depressing than the last one
Once upon a time there was a lonely boy. He couldn't see himself the way the rest of the world could, and no matter how many times the girls asked for his number it just made him sadder and sadder. He thought it was a joke, that the world was laughing at him. When he looked in the mirror, he saw a sad, fat, ugly monster, worthless and alone, even though he was really quite sexy.
One day, he couldn't take it any more. He was giving up on life, he was going to put an end to his pain. He decided an overdose was the simplest and easiest way for him to end it, so he went down to the store and bought fifty boxes of every painkiller he could find. He was careful to ensure that no-one realised what he was doing, but on the bus home someone bumped into him, knocking all his stuff on the floor. He turned to yell at them, but standing in front of him was a beautiful girl. She was the loveliest thing he'd ever seen...
...and she was completely blind. His heart leapt into his throat as he came up with a plan...
He decided he was going to make this girl love him, because she wouldn't see how horrible he looked and she would love him for what was inside. He spent hours with her, days, months, years, and one day he asked her to marry him.
She declined, saying she wished she could see their wedding day more than anything else in the world.
He asked her, "If someone donated a pair of eyes for you to see, would you marry me?" and she said yes.
The next day, she got a call - someone had given her their eyes!
She was so happy, she could see the world and marry the love of her life!
But after the operation, when she saw him for the first time, she was horrified to see that he was blind.
She said to him, "I'm sorry, but I cannot marry you knowing you are blind. I-I can't even look at you. It's over. I'm sorry."
A week later, she got a letter from him. It read, "You wanted to love so I gave you my heart. You wanted to see, and I gave you my eyes. I love you, even after all this time, and I always will."
He killed himself, and left everything he had to her. And she forced herself to live every day in pain, because she knew she deserved to hurt for what she had done to the only man she had ever loved.

THE END
