I want to play outside...
I open my eyes, but they are closed.
No matter what, they refuse to open.
Yet I can see.

I didn’t want to go
I want to play outside
I want to play outside and build a snowman
But I can’t.

I open my mouth, but no sound comes out.
No matter what, only silence remains.
Yet I can sing.

I didn’t want to go
I want to play outside
I want to play outside and climb a tree
But I can’t.

I put my hand on my chest, but my chest is still.
No matter what, it never flutters.
Yet my heart beats strongly.

I didn’t want to go
I want to play outside.
I want to play outside, I just want to play outside
But I can’t
