Is war really worth it?
She looks upon the wreckage with a heavy heart and lets a lone tear escape before she composes herself once more. After all its not very princess like to cry in front of your subjects.

He mother would say she's not the idea princess though. What princess would not only lead their country into war, but also be right there on the battlefield with them? Yeah, she was not the perfect princess, but she knew what she was doing. Or so she thought.

She glances around again and sighs. She may have won the war, but seeing how many died and how many lost loved ones she has to question herself. Was it really worth it? She gazes at the few who still remained for a few minutes more before addressing them.

"You have fought brave today. Though we might have won, we have lost many. I pray you will not forget those that have fallen and what we have sacrificed here. I know I won't." Her eyes drifts to the cold body at her feet and this time she does cry.

"I will remember all who have remained loyal and by my side the whole time. I will honor them and their families." Again she looks at the body before turning away, no longer able to handle the sight.

"Go home, rest, celebrate our victory and mourn your loved ones. I know I will."
