Grace avoids a car wreck.
I slam on the breaks to avoid the car speeding towards me. It's coming from the street to my right.

I turn a shocked gaze in front of me to see that I barely managed to escape harm. The car had impacted with another one coming from the left. I reach over searching wife's hand and find it. She squeezes it tight, trying to reassure me no doubt.

"Allie... that could have been us." I state still in shock.

"I know Grace, but it wasn't." She reaches over and turns my chin so that I'm now facing her and not the wreckage.

"Just be grateful you're alive. I don't know what I'd do without you." I nod.

"You're right, we should pray for the people who did get hit and be thankful we didn't." She smiles sweetly and kisses me. Yeah I'm grateful we are both still alive.
