Death, Requiem, Song, Ode, Dying, Funeral, Love, Lovers
I.
Lo! Death assembled an anomalous lullaby,
Piercing notes strung all thro’out the sky-
Composed of corpses and rattling bones,
Compiled of organs and horrid tones—

II.
Intriguing colloquy with death himself,
  Deadened conversations, in acrid flesh-
Humming a melody of fascination for all to hear,
Even the blind and deaf await ear by ear—

III.
Death reared himself a manic throne,
  His presence, being extensively known-
Lost souls, forevermore singing,
  Whilst solemn bells, continue ringing—

IV.
I stand in the midst of the dead,
Peering out from my coffin bed-
Joining into this morbid dream,
  Floating down the crimson stream—

V.
My soul continually flowed down,
  Tho’ my body tragically drowned-
Death droned his dreaded song,
  As ev’ry cadaver joined along—

VI.
The requiem transited deep into the darken’d abyss,
A captivating, yet deadly song, forever missed-
As the lifeless bodies are lain to sleep,
I pray the lord, my soul to keep—
