lovers in love, evermore..
Take this kiss, upon thy lips,
  Thy fragile, pallid tender skin-
Delicate and fragile as porcelain,
Whilst supple thoughts are lain within--

Such eyes, behold a great treasure,
  Concealed by uttered hearing-
Thoughts nor words could ever measure,
To a love, oh so endearing-

A scintillating smile,
  That brightens an entire room-
Even for the longest while,
  (Even in solemn grey tombs!)

Our future lies ahead,
For someday, happily husband and wife-
Our love, shall ne'er be dead,
For we lov'd evermore, even after life--

Ah, what splendid times are these!
The day we shall be fore'er married,
Under the lone Willow trees!
For my thoughts shall always carry,
My everlasting love for thee-

O my dear, my darling Joseph Shawntine,
My heart, evermore beats for thee-
O my love, 'tis just you and me,
Our love shall conquer, for all eternity.
