never drive faster than an Angel.
NEVER DRIVE FASTER THAN AN ANGEL.

He revved up the engine and let out the clutch,
And roared at full speed down the street.
What he never knew was that very very soon,
His maker he was going to meet.

Black ice is called black, for a good reason,
You can’t see the stuff till too late.
That was the stuff that became his downfall,
The stuff that sealed the lads fate.

They had to cut him out of the car,
The coffin was not open that day,
The day they took him into the cemetery,
Where for time ever more he would stay.

The girl survived and told what was what,
An Angel had appeared from nowhere.
And the lad had decided he would race her,
Nothing nasty, it was just for a dare.

The Angel turned around and looked at him,
Slowly the Angel shook her head.
She tried to make him drive slower,
He just pressed the pedal lower instead.

Faster and faster and then it happened,
She said the Angel came into the car.
And picked the lad up in her arms,
And took him up to a twinkling star.

So never drive faster than an Angel,
You just never know what lies ahead,
And maybe that Angel will be waiting,
To take you to heaven when dead.
