What you do defines how you will be remembered.
Nin was an unremarkable soul in all ways except one. What marked him as special was a personal malady that involved the movement of his bowels. He would go days without one and be rewarded with excruciating pain when even passing gas. He was in his early twenties when a visiting man of medicine provided a service that cured Nin of this ailment and can now make a bowel movement at will. Nin was so taken with it that he lost all reasonable judgment and made it his mission in life to let everyone that he came into contact with know that he has good bowel movements. Anywhere that a gathering occurred there was Nin declaring to others what he can do. He became so much of a nuisance that his mother would go to him and plead for him to go home. She would say “Nin go home to do that, they don’t need that much information.” From a window in her home she would say “in here Nin, come poop.” And that my son is where the term nincompoop came from. People from that time often would call someone like that a nincanpoop, but nincompoop was the term that caught on probably due to the fact his mother asked that of him frequently to keep him from pestering others.
