Sometimes falling in love hurts, especially if you have been hurt before.
You have wrapped yourself inside of me
I can feel you trying to tiptoe down to my heart.
Reluctantly, I hesitate to let you in,
But you pay no attention.

You just kiss my pain and gently make your way.
You know that I want you.
A fire of passion burns somewhere deep within,
And you feel it drawing you near.

On bended knees, I tremble,
Letting you make your way.
Please, go slow.
For I am fragile like a rose in autumn.
My stem is long and green,
With thorns, ready to defend.
But my sweet silky petals blow unprotected in the wind.

Come though, and be my sun.
Dry my tears,
And make me forget my past.
Nurture me with your love,
And help me to be strong.
Don't let me hurt, make me endure you without pain.
And lead me to love again.
