Poem, "We wither as our steps drag slow. Darlings, they've let us go. One settles..."
We wither

As our steps drag slow.

Darlings, they've let us go.

One settles still comfort on the dirt,

Another seeks solitude within careless arms.

All collected common here is the loss we wear.

Unspoken words linger in the eyes,

Storming down as brittle tears.

Unwanted, when we wanted.

Tangled in fate lays mourning lace,

Falling faces, ghosts turned blue.

A time before hypnotized in magic turned black.

Now, questions burn holes through chests.

Pounding burden,

Despair of a mess.

We wither.
