Lydia, Amanda, and Petunia go to The May Academy. They find jewels underwater.
"Come on, Amanda and Petunia! We're going to be late if we don't hurry!" I said, staring at my two best friends who were yawning and stretching. Soon, we were dressed and packed up to go to The May Academy. Oh, let me introduce myself. I am Lydia Sea Mesquite. I am 13 years old and I have light brown hair that is naturally curly. Amanda Shell Zeal is one of my best friends. She's the same age as I am and has long blonde hair that is straight. Petunia Ocean Iris is another one of my best friends. She is 13 and has curly blonde hair that is usually in a bun or ponytail.
Soon, we were at The May Academy. A kind lady named Mrs. Eva showed us our rooms. Guess what? Amanda, Petunia, and I were in the same room! We were also with 8 other girls! After we had settled in, Mrs. Eva took us on a tour. The awesome thing was that there was an ocean nearby!
After a few days of learning, Saturday came along. Amanda, Petunia, and I changed into our swimsuits and grabbed our towels, sunscreen, and goggles. We put similar notes on our beds that said stuff like: "We'll be back before lunch...out for a swim...already ate breakfast...". We hurried across the polished wood floors, pushed open the similar doors, and darted away to the ocean.
Once we were there, we sprayed the sunscreen across our arms and legs. After a few minutes, we dove into the ocean. We cherished our swimming time. It felt like we were free! And that was when I saw it. A small pink jewel, glistening in the underwater sunlight. "Hey, check it out!" I said, causing my friends to stare at me. I motioned for them to come over to me. They were awestruck. After a few seconds, Amanda squealed with delight. Petunia did the same. A blue jewel was within Amanda's sight, and a purple one was within Petunia's.
"We should keep them!" I exclaimed. All at once, we dove under the waves and snagged the jewels. I took them and placed them in my waterproof purse. After a while, I checked the time. We were supposed to eat lunch at 12:45. It was 12:00,which gave us enough time to shower, change, and get back with 15 minutes to spare. We swam for about 10 more minutes and got ready to go back. I told my friends to make the jewels go onto anklets we could make. It would be a lot easier to do than to carry a jewel that could get lost or stolen. We darted back and went into the cafeteria and ate some homemade pizza! Yum!
Once lunch was over, we made the anklets. They turned out great, but what we didn't know is that the jewels would change our lives forever.
