A poem about crashing.

Crash

Suddenly something is wrong.
The wheels have stopped moving but you haven't.
You might be vaguely aware of what happened but it doesn't matter
Because that moment when your airborne is actually a moment of bliss.
Everything is in slow motion and its strangely enjoyable.
Then you hit the ground.
You shut your eyes but the sound is enough.
You don't feel it.
Yet.
The involuntary "fuck" you exclaim is what lets you know.
Your adrenaline is pumping and it would be easy to jump up
But you know better so you slowly raise your head.
Hoping nobody saw
Assessing the damage your get up and curse those wheels.
Its not the immediate strong pain that upsets you
Its knowing that you'll have to deal with slight pain for a while.
Fuck.
Your shaky but you get back on.
A little slower now.
Fuck
