Sharing a table with a stranger.
I met a stranger at Andre’s Cafe;
people from all over go there to eat.
We shared a table and that was okay.

It was late March with the sky shades of gray;
sometimes it’s best to give yourself a treat.
I met a stranger at Andre’s Cafe.

As I walked in there were folks in the way;
it remained my fortune to get a seat.
We shared a table and that was okay.

We gave each other the time of the day;
seems that we each had a job to complete.
I met a stranger at Andre’s Cafe.

The waitress came by with a silver tray;
she stood attired so proper and neat.
We shared a table and that was okay.

After we ate and we both had our say,
we both agreed we were destined to meet.
I met a stranger at Andre’s Cafe;
we shared a table and that was okay.
