As humans we have many emotions and characteristics.
We only do what’s best for us . . . . this is sometimes a good thing because we often help others by doing what’s best for ourselves, sometimes a bad thing, cause greed can overwhelm us. We lie to others with the intentions of hiding the truth, hiding who we are as individuals, and ironically, to protect others, because in reality we all know that the truth hurts and can be vicious. We hide our true feelings because we don’t want to seem weak or vulnerable, not knowing that the aid we need is right in front of us in the form of our fellow man. But we turn away and stride in the opposite direction because we are bathed in so much pride that we become prisoners of our own body. We are sometimes scared of success, because along with success comes responsibility. We fear commitment, because to be fully committed one must be fully responsible for his/her own actions, one must be devoted, dedicated, and most importantly prepared to be dominated by obligations. We allow our occupations to define who we are, because we habitually forget or lose sight of who we are. We are more than just titles, who we are goes far beyond what we are. We should define our titles; our titles should not define us. We know life is so fast pace, yet we fail to take out time to live it. We tend to rush our lives that we forget what is really important: the relationship we share with others, the experiences we go through, and the obstacles we overcome that makes us who we are. We make mistakes; we often learn from them but sometimes we do not. Our mistakes shape our lives; they make us who we are as individuals. We are good people, yet often bad people, but one cannot blame us . . . because we are only human.
