Pleasing God

HAGAR, lost in the Wilderness nowhere else to go,
Exiled by Sarah her tears of grief did flow.
"Please God come and help me,
I do not want to die"
"Please Lord just some water,
God heard her humble cry.

DAVID killed the man Uriah, took Bathsheba as his wife,
Confronted by prophet Nathan words cut like a knife.
His infant child he died all his grieving done before,
"Please God let rule my son Solomon,
Let him of all my sons, to you alone adored."

MARY gets a visit by an angel, she's yet to be espoused,
Promises her a baby, Jesus would be his name.
Flustered with many questions;
"Please God tell me how this can be?'
For I am just a virgin your handmaid, hear my plea."

Pleased by God's provision our hearts are opened wide,
Please God we long no please you, no more will we hide.
"Not by empty sacrifice or idols you implore,
MICAH says it's simple give your heart-"no more."

Pleasing God is Pleasing,
Loving Learning Listening,
Express heart felt confessions,
Asking A saviour to adore,
Sin no more now blessing,
Expecting gifts galore.

Gentle inquisitions,
Open overt Oblation,
Delicious Undying Devotion, My Lord forever more.
