The sun will rise again.
Ocean's Sigh

Once distant waves
crash and retreat
from the shore
with no thought of return.
Pressing forward
ever-more.

The ocean never
ever cries
It only sighs
if you listen close
It already knows
for it’s wiser than you.
It does not weep
when the sun
turns its water
to black from blue.

Embracing the dark
Is no matter of choice
and the ocean does so
without a voice.
It’s learned through the years
That come what may
Tis’ better to accept
And not expect
The sun to rise
The next day.

Although,
It never has complained
about a sunrise.
