The banal philosophy expressed in poetic prose form - enjoy!
Concrete wisdom, opaque flattery, or a concealed flaw
For which we exercise all-knowing discretion?
The saying, “The glass is always half full”
Rallies us through some disheartening times
While empowering us with a unique
And mesmerizing fortitude.
We learn to justify our experiences
In this positive, uplifting way
To help ease concerns and to sustain us
Through life’s treacherous
And inviting roller coaster.

A trite but accurate conclusion:
For a glass half empty cannot account
For the amount present in this vessel
Of refreshing fluid.

What we hold near and dear
May consist of visage and depth,
As well as rank;
Yet, most of us find happiness and strength
In the most basic of worldly elements.
