Fall is in the air and love is alive!
It might not be autumn per say by date.
But, its in the air this year, more early than late.
While crossing the lawn this evening, I saw what made my heart sing!
It wasn't the beauty of the season pulling on its string.
But the two little angels that were playing in my yard;
They were busy there playing, scurrying very hard.
They didn't notice, I was even in the world,
As they ran and skipped, while the leaves around them swirled.
Twas a special feeling in the air,
As a brisk wind rustled through those little maiden’s hair.
In that moment I was young again; Though hindered I could have just cut a rug.
Instead I just kept walking; And from those angels I got a hug!
For a moment I was confused: Fall had always made me feel alive;
But it was not in the wind: It was the love of those angels that caused my spirit to revive.
