Vacation on a fun planet.
Upon the planet Spongy One
in orbit ‘round red giant sun,
I took my family one day
for play and simple getaway.

For One is known throughout all space
as an extensive bouncy place.
The ground acts like a trampoline,
and One’s landscape appears pristine.

(It used to be an icy sphere
before the sun became so near.
But with the sun’s extensive bloat,
it’s now a fun land world of note.)

So kids and wife bounce up and down
and I at once become unwound
while passing family in air
in horizontal debonair.

(For Spongy One has signs about
that say to let it all hang out.
And since the gravity is slight,
sometimes a bounce achieves great height.)

I saw a family nearby
bounce high into the scarlet sky.
Yet when a lady cried, “Oh my,”
I laughed so hard I thought I’d cry.

There was a patio with chairs
where we relaxed bereft of cares.
And as we sipped our lemonade,
we thought it fun, and so we stayed.
