A short poem that was part of a 2012 Scholastic silver Key winning collections
"If ignorance is bliss-"

If ignorance is bliss -
then not one of us can smile,
for I do believe we know -
something of another.

Humans have a privilege -
two-sense and knowledge.
What misfortune it would be to
cast a lot of insensibility.

If I were told to make a choice,
I would prefer to speak -
with an intellectual voice
of great, confident certainty.
