A boy get a shock during a friend's dare.
I am still trying to figure out how I was talked into this. I was sitting at home when my friend called me and gave me a dare to spend the night at the Colonial Park Cemetery. As I walked down the path I kept an eye out for police due to the fact the park is closed. As the night went on I found a secluded spot near a large tree and sat down. The night seemed to drag on until I heard humming coming down the path. I pulled my legs towards me to blend into the shadows better. But that made no difference the person stopped and turned to look at me. I could make out the person as a female with blonde hair. I stood up and smiled at her and she started to walk over to me. As she came closer I made out what she was wearing. It was a dress from the civil war era I guess she came from a costume party.

“Hello what are you doing here?” she asked.
“I am actually here on a dare, my name is John Graham.”
“Where are my manners, I’m Sarah Jenkins. A grave yard of all places but who am I to say since I am here too.”

We walked and talked for a while. Sarah all of a sudden stooped and looked up at the sky. A panicked look came over her face, she turned to me.

“I have to go. I should have been home awhile ago; my parents are going to be upset with me. Farewell.”
“Goodbye, Will I see you again?” I questioned.
         “Maybe.” She replied.

I watched her walk briskly down the path until she was out of site. I turned to my left and bumped into a tombstone. I read the inscription and I could feel the blood drain from my face. The inscription said.
