Poem about a vision of any society or group restricting the people.
Enveloped in a massive bubble

We are trapped by its unseen walls

Stuck like sheep, we are forced to huddle

What will they do when they see it fall?

As mice we creep through the shadows

One will start; the others follow

Lighting the way with wax and tallow

'Coz they never thought we'd stoop so low

Smoke curls round in patterns

And clothes turn into tatters

I don't know who this flatters

But to them it doesn't matter

Doesn't matter, doesn't matter

The bubble's walls are keeping us in

But now that we know it's there

We promise to never give in

And keep on pushing until it tears

'Till now the cats have had easy pickings

They've tried to teach us to stop thinking

They shouldn't have pushed us so far

We're starting to realise who we are

Smoke curls round in patterns

And clothes turn into tatters

I don't know who this flatters

But to them it doesn't matter

Doesn't matter, doesn't matter

They've made a mistake, they're too bold

They've made a mistake, they're getting old

Meanwhile, out here in the cold

Whispers are starting up in the fold
