Every man deserves to release his work day stress before he passes the threshold.
Caught up in the idea of missing HIM, which I did ..I waited...Plotted...As soon as I hear those keys, I thought. I'm going to run. I turned down the television so that I could hear better. I heard a door close. I heard the screw within the door creek. I looked over my glasses. At the door. I heard the jingle from his pocket. I rose a little from the couch. Waiting for the last sign that HE was on the other side of that door...the lock was penetrated by the key to the house. I ran. I ran like a gazelle. Nothing but legs involved. My glasses fell off. I ran as if my life depended on my destination and the speed that was required to make it.

I startled him. The keys dropped. He begins to talk. My hands confines his mouth. No mood for words. I ignore and reach with my other hand. Reach for what I need. What I deserve. What I've waited all day for. What is his by right, but what I must possess. I dropped to my knees with no concern regarding the impact. The door is still open. I hold on to what I need. He looks down from a 6'2" height to show acknowledgment of my actions. Then rolls his head back. He enjoys it. His bag parachutes from his shoulder onto the floor and crashes...I ignore. He doesn't bother, but the door remains open.

In the back of my mind, I noticed that it was still open as we stood in the doorway. Still on my knees in front of me, directly. It was coming to me. It's mines. I can tell. He's giving it away. To me. His day was long. I felt it in his energy. A car passed. I could hear its tires on the pavement. I refuse to leave my position. Nor did he. He didn't even look back. A dog barked...A voice in the near distance spoke...A glass broke...A ball bounced. ..I held on tighter. I can't...I held on until he finally granted me ownership of what is his, but what is now mines. My name is on it. It resides inside of me. I lick my lip and rise from my position. Kissed him on his bearded cheek and said, Baby, don't leave your bag on the floor like that. Then walked away. He laughed. He wants me.
