A song about heroes and family.
Heroes

Verse 1 (Chorus)

I’m a hero and a hero’s son
Grandson of another one.
My father’s heart,
Swells with pride
As my grandfather
Watches from the sky.

Verse 2

In WWII he went to sea,
He marched from England,
Into Germany.
The wounded soldier,
He brought back.
Cause he’s a hero,
That’s a matter of fact.

Verse 3

In ‘64 his service was over.
So he grabbed up a revolver,
And he started over.
He fought the war,
That’s never won.
And through it all,
He never would run.

Verse 4

Well in ’82,
It was my turn to choose.
It didn't matter,
Cause I could not loose.
So I jumped a truck,
And fought the fires.
And I stood my ground,
When the flames rose higher
