JUST READ IT
It was a hot summer day in Fort Worth and two friends were walking down by the river bank. There was a girl, 14, with long, wavy, golden hair, ocean blue eyes, and a few freckles. The boy with her was 15 and had messy, chocolate brown hair, emerald green eyes, and he was kind of muscular.

“Hey, Tommy!” the young girl said.

“What is it, Rose?” said the boy, who was apparently Tommy.

“Race you to that rock,” said Rose pointing to a huge reddish rock.

“You’re on,” Tommy laughed.

The two children took off running. Rose was clearly in the lead the whole time but Tommy was faster than her. He had a crush on her and she had a crush on him, too. When Rose reached the rock she tripped, fell, and vanished. Tommy’s eyes widened in fear that she was hurt and took off at full speed. Tommy’s heart pounded and his head spun.

“Rose!” he screamed, “Where are you!?”

Suddenly he stumbled in the same place his friend had fallen. He hit the hard cold earth hard. Rose was sitting in front of him with her blue eyes wide open and she was shaking. Rose was usually brave, she had watched the movie Jaws and wasn’t shaken at all.

“Tommy!” She screamed and she started to shake him hard, “Wake up, wake up!”

“Hush, little one,” said a sweet little voice, “No need to scream or shout.”

“Who’s there? I’m not afraid of you!” the girl yelled.

A little fairy appeared and said, “Quiet, you might wake it up.”

The fairy, Angel Dragonfly, who was 132, introduced herself. She told Rose where she was, why she was there, and everything thing else she needed to know. She told her she and Tommy had been transported to Europe. The year was 1712.

Then Tommy woke up with a start and screamed with panic.

“What is going on and where are we?” Tommy asked, still panicking and now he was running in circles.

When he calmed down, Rose told him everything. He was about to start panicking again but Rose grabbed his shirt. Suddenly, Rose heard Angel screaming and a roar that would put a lion to shame.

Angel fluttered back and whimpered, “Help us, and kill the dragon and Lady Glassheart, please!”

“Of course we’ll help you,” Rose and Tommy said with a smile.

“Here take my father’s sword,” Angel said holding up a sword the size of a needle, “It’ll grow to the size you need.”

Rose took the tiny sword and it grew so it would fit in her hands. She noticed on the sword’s handle was a rose made of rubies and emeralds. Then, a huge dragon appeared with scales red as blood, claws like knifes, and its teeth were like pearly white daggers. But the eyes were not eyes at all. They were diamonds. Tommy and Angel screamed but Rose ran at the monster and killed it with one swing of the sword. It started raining rubies, pearls, and other gems.

The three friends kept moving and reached the castle of Crystal Glassheart. They went inside. Then Angel saw something and flew in front of her two friends. Suddenly there was a flash of light, followed by a tiny scream. There was a crack, and finally a little thump. The smoke cleared and the fairy was on the ground. Rose picked up Angel to see her gray eyes glaze over and the dragonfly-like wing flap one last time. Sobbing, Rose stroked Angel’s red hair and set her down gently. A 16 year old girl with silver eyes, long black hair, and pale skin appeared. She was Crystal Glassheart.

“You killed my dragon, you little twerp!” Crystal screamed, “That spell was for you!”

Rose threw the sword at the awful woman and she turned to dust. She and Tommy were instantly transported back to the river bank. They finally told each other how they felt and they kissed each other. To this day they love each other.
