Christmas to me.
Christmas is a holiday, we celebrate each year.
To spread goodwill to fellow man and try to bring good cheer.
With decorations on the tree and lights strung all around;
Christmas shopping here and there, for bargains to be found.
The rushing and the fussing, frustrations and the sort;
are not what I see Christmas as, Oh how this world distorts
the silent night of one child’s birth, the meaning of the season.
Has lost its truth, that’s why he came; Because he had a reason.

The silent, but yet holy night is described of long ago;
As wise men sought and angels watched the babe born here below.
As shepherds kept watch over their sheep, a star shone in the sky;
A beacon for those that did bear gifts and lead them through the night.
A savior, a messiah, a king this child would be.
Redemptions’ plan brought down to man, is what it means to me.
I will proclaim the birth as what brings joy and hope this season.
The gift of grace he brought for us because we were his reason.
