An expression of my longing to find another in a wait which feels like an eternity.
Seasons change and as they turn
I find it more that I yearn
for your passionate embrace,
though I know not your face.
I can feel your gaze make me burn
though your name I have yet to learn
for there is no desire to walk the line
of worlds separated between yours and mine,
but rather a time of only us
if only fate were not so ambiguous.
I know that one day I will have you
and then I will be yours too,
but I'm running out of patience
as I have waited for generations.
Life after life I have toiled away
hoping to finally meet you some sunny day.
