Purple...

The deep color of the night sky

Amethyst velvet

Scattered with diamonds

A cloak of royalty

Wrapping the night in majestic splendor

The whim of the moon

Painting the sky with brushes of light and dark

Then the sun pulls itself

From its slumber beyond the horizon

Bleaching the sky slowly

Like water

Rinsing threw wine soaked cloth
