A poem about anxiety.
I am losing control.
It seeps into my
mind,
spilling its alter reality
over my vision.
It only takes a few moments
before I descend,
completely,
into Darkness.
Simultaneously, a new world
emerges from the infection,
an infinitely more dangerous perception that breaks the person beneath.
I remain
an observer only- to view
crumbling relationships,
the watering down of interests
as they evaporate in the hot air.
A rope wraps around my chest,
The pressure pinching at my bones
Breathing becomes fast and shallow-

The world falls into sudden silence,
the blood pumping heavily in my ears.
the Darkness as reached its peak-

I am lost.
