My first ever attempt at poetry, take from it what you will
To time that most fickle of thieves

through Winter snow and Autumn leaves

To city-scapes and woodland eaves

on shores where the tide heaves

To mountains high

who kiss the sky

To valleys low

where rivers flow

To nights as black

as wing-borne ravens

To days as bright

as heartfelt havens

To the wax and wane

of the midnight moon

To the guileless joy

of a love-struck swoon

To ageless counsel

borne of need

To which the young

never heed

To the wise, the fool

the benevolent and the cruel

To those we hearken

whose hearts never darken

To the end.
