A young boy loses his birthday balloon but gets it back.

Happiness flies lightly on a helium balloon named Happy Birthday.
Away from the outstretched fingers of a boy who has become older today.
His four year old face, once pink, turns quickly beet red.
His four year old heart, once happy, begins to fill with dread.
Eyes well with tears as he becomes aware of the fears
of having the wind take something special away.

A man within short distance, not far from the boys' side,
sees all that is happening and without missing a stride,
throws up a weathered hand and reaches deep into the sky.
The man had seen this happen, he had wittnessed this before.
The wind had taken a balloon from him long ago when he was only four.

Today this man is a hero to a boy who is no longer sad.
So the boy says to the man two times, "Thank you, thank you Dad!"
