My Entry for the Sweethearts Contest
Your eyes potray the stillness of a midsummer night,
to try and forget you I have to put up a fight
Your sweet murmured words, as pure as a dove,
Hold me in your arms, let me bask in your love.

Everyday I wake up, with the thought of seeing you,
This makes me wonder, what love potion did I brew?
For now and forever, I hope it stays the same,
Because if we ever break apart, only time is to blame.

I look at you and there's a tingling in my blood,
You come towards me, looking no less than a Greek god
With the messed up hair and the crooked grin,
If you were a prize, I'd do anything to win.

I look into your eyes as our hands entwine,
I didn't realise before, but your heart has touched mine.
Sometimes I think you're too good to be true,
To prove me wrong, you whisper in my ear...
'I love you'.
