Beginning of a tale.
City of Mestacranth

The city stood high above the Cradian sea, ports bustling with commerce and travelers. The docks smelled of fish and the sea as Thadagan left the ship it had been 4 months since he left the Collective. Being hunted by Pallodian Order left little time to settle down in one place for too long. He surveyed the dock around him, finally resting his gaze on the Dukes manor above resting in the cliffs.
"Well I'm in the whore's ass of the kingdom, at least here they will have some trouble finding me." he sighed half-heartedly.
As he walked though the streets the yelling of the merchants hocking their wares to all passing by, the prostitutes trying to pass off theirs', Thadagan dismissed them with another disappointed sigh. when he stood in front of his destination.
"There she is, the black skull the seediest bar in the worst city, how else can I make this anymore like a bad story, lone traveler walks in to bad part of town, goes to even worst part of there, gets killed, crows eat body." he walked through the door, the smell of sweat and stale beer permeated the air. "Wonderful, just what I wanted one horrible smell to another." Seating himself at the table closest to the door, preparing for the inevitability of fight he knew would happen, a young woman approached him.
"Welcome to the Skull hun what can I getcha?" She said with a fake of smile as she could clearly muster.
"I'm looking for work, I really don't care Thadagan coming his way.
"I was told that you were the one I was to come to if I was looking for work."
"I'll take you to the boss."
"Wait you aren't Grenth?" he looked confusedly only to be met with laughs, as he opened the back door.
"Boss I got someone looking for work." the man yelled back.
"Bring him in," and intimidating voice yelled back "so you are the one who is looking for work." a small man stood before him burly and well dressed. "The name is Grenth, so you need a job, I think I can help I am looking for some good hands to do some 'work' for me, was expecting a warrior nor some little twig, what makes think you can work for me."
"Well I can do this." with in a second Thadagan's hand was engulfed in a magic flame, "Will that do?"
"Well if I'm not a crag bitch, she brought me a mage, better than 10 warriors." the dwarf chuckled.
"So what's the job?"
"Well we are doing a little mission, and I need as much muscle, or in your case magic, as I can get." The dwarf took a more serious tone.
"And the mission?"
"We are going to be going into a little bit of a dragons den."
"WHAT!?" A cold shiver went down his spine.
"Ehh yea, there is a treasure in there that will put us on the map only problem is that we lack the necessary strength, to well get the need ending I would like." the dwarf shrugged nonchalantly
"Great so this is a bad story I have walked into, just wonderful, so how shall I die, is there a wheel I spin or something?" Thadagan remarked snidely
"Nah we draw straws for that." Grenth retorted with out missing a beat.
"Wonderful, so when exactly do you plan on leaving for this adventure?"
"Well the dragon is supposed to leave its nest to forage in a few months you will be put up here till then, we have a few other odd jobs around town to help pay, we need the best equipment we can get right.." Grenth joked.
