My husband calls me a Buckeye because I was born and raised in Ohio!
I was born  and raised in Ohio being a buckeye, a worthless nut.  It is humorous that my husband calls me a buckeye for many reasons, mostly, that I have lived down south for 25 years. My family was originally from the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.  My family moved to Ohio when the coal mines shut down and there was no work for them.  We traveled in the summer for family reunions in these states every summer.  I loved the mountains and the four seasons, I called it Gods Country! I lived in Florida for 5 years and I loved the rainy season, and the beaches!  I had a good job, I drove a school bus, and we lived well!  I lived in Texas for a year, I had a good job, I work at Exxon as a fire watch!  I moved back to Florida for a year and moved to Kentucky!  The jobs are scarce and the wages are low but I made it even as a single mother you could not tell it my kids wore brand name clothes and had everything that the other kids had also.  I have lived in Kentucky on 8.9 acres past the boonies with no neighbors for 16 years!  I have a pool, 4 wheelers, a white and black spotted walking horse name Moona and Church! I am  in my own little paradise and I am so happy but, that is great for me!  "How does he say that I am not a hillbilly?"
