Amy fantasizes about her crush while she's supposedly listening to her friends story.
I stood there and stared up at the lights that beamed down on me. In my long rosy dress, and sparking heels, I knew all eyes would be on me. This was a dramatic change, considering all I ever wear is dirt colored clothes. I felt a tap on the shoulder, and as I turned around, there he was. He looked amazing, the way his blue tie went together with those deep blue eyes. “Wow, you look..” he paused. I felt my face turn the shades of my dress. “Amazing..” he finished. “Thanks.” I choked up. “Care to dance?” he suggested. “I’d love to!” I said with my face now as red as my dress. He grabbed my hand and led me through the crowd. “Where are we going?” I asked. “Somewhere special.” He added. We were soon outside on a balcony. “Wow its beautiful out here!” I shouted accidentally. He grabbed me and pulled me towards him, and as we danced I rested my head on his shoulder. I took in his strong clean scent of cologne and felt my stomach knot up. “I have a question.” He asked. “Yes?” I said shyly. “Why aren't we together yet?” he said with a handsome grin. I paused and felt my heart drop. “Well you've never really noticed me before.” I said. “You’re someone I’d like to call mine.” He said as he moved in closer. Our noses were touching now. “Oh really?” I said playfully. He shushed me and moved in for the kiss. Our lips were almost touching; before he could kiss me I paused. “AMY!!” I felt a violent shake. “AMY! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?” I opened my eyes in rage and let out a yawn. “I didn't understand a word you just said.” I murmured.
