A poem about being homeless.
Homeless

By:

Maddy

You’ve all seen me,

Your heart pounds and you feel the cruel screams inside you.

Your stomach twists and turns,

And I see that alarming look in your eye every dreadful minute of my life.

Growing up I wasn’t as fortunate as you.

I’d rather spare change than receive it.

I don’t have money for food or new clothes,

But I do have a warm, passionate heart.

I may not look the part of who I am,

But give me your heart, and I’ll give you mine.
