Poetry is like society?
Poetry is so restrained,
as if there's a
framework,
for writing your
thoughts.

They say in school to
'express yourself,
but then correct
every expression that
shows
personality.

The 'poetry' they say
must have structure
that fits.

So you
can't
write like
this.

But what good is
poetry
if we can't
be ourselves?

Isn't poetry
like
society?

Structure is
what
we 'need'.

If you're not
'normal'
or
you're 'different'
then you're
frowned upon.

And they look
down on you.

Like a piece
of
poetry
that isn't what
they want.

A framework so
disordered that
they can't
agree
with it.

We're all just
poetry,
yet
self correcting
our personalities.
