A persons journey over the edge
Your hands can move a mountain,
your eyes they stare through steel.
Yet your heart is dark and broken,
and you know you cannot deal.
The words they say against you,
they penetrate your mind.
They make you feel so worthless,
the true you you now leave behind.
You debate how far you need to push,
how deep the cuts should be.
The pain so dark you feel no fear,
lifes cruel reality.
And on your knees you pray to God,
"My lord, what have I done?"
"All I wanted was a friend and now I have no one."
So quick you sink beneath the veil,
on the verge of life and death.
The blood and tears spill down your cheeks
as you gasp for your last breath.
