A song of life that ends each day. Listen to nature’s nocturne play. Form: Saraband Sonnet
Nature's Nocturne

The wind sighs softly in the tree;
it plays each branch, each tender leaf,
a part of nature's symphony.

As night begins to paint the skies,
the twinkling of the fireflies
in rhythm with the night bird's tune
bids welcome to the rising moon.

Basso profundo from the frogs,
their croaking part of the motif,
echo above the ponds and logs.

The crickets add their harmonies
to mix with sounds upon the breeze;
a song of life that ends each day.
Listen to nature's nocturne play.
