poem about the death of my grandmother
Mist hanging heavy on the mountains

Makes the sadness so much stronger

The flowers all droop their heads

Mourning the passing of Gladys

Summer passing always saddened me before

Bird song and flower now gone till spring

Now it'll be so much more

As I mourn the passing of Gladys

Ma, Great-Grammie, Gladys

sister, Grammie, mother

However it was you knew her

We mourn the passing of Gladys

As fall moves into winter

The seasons come round again

Sadness will lose its strength

As we mourn the passing of Gladys

Her life was long, her will was strong

she will be sorely missed

for now we let our sadness persist

As we mourn the passing of Gladys

The funeral day slowly approaches

Hours spent pouring over her photos

Grammie's life unfolds before me

Clearer than ever before

As sad as this all has been

Saying good-bye to Grammie

Help me remember the woman she was

As we mourn the passing of Gladys
