In fairytales
There are princes
In fairytales
There are princesses
In fairytales
There are kingdoms
In fairytales
There are villagers
In fairytales
There are good people
In fairytales
There are but a few bad people
In fairytales
There are some challenges
In fairytales
There are some triumphs
In fairytales
There is often beauty
In fairytales
There can be ugliness
In fairytales
There are men sworn to defend
In fairytales
There are those who seek to topple
In fairytales
There are kings and queens
In fairytales
There are servants who dream
In fairytales
There are those who have
In fairytales
There are those who do not
In fairytales
There is always wisdom
In fairytales
There is always some fool
In fairytales
There is always a new day
In fairytales
It is always darkest before the dawn
In fairytales
There are those few who are brave
In fairytales
There is always someone to be saved
In fairytales
There are always happy endings
In fairytales
Reality has no place or standing
In fairytales
Is where most of us often reside
In fairytales
The real truth does not exist
In fairytales
Is where we can go to hide
In fairytales
Is where we can remain for a time
In fairytales
Some of us are princes or princesses
In fairytales
Some of us come to be a king or queen
In fairytales
Most of us are just villagers
In fairytales
Some of us may be servants
In fairytales
There are so few of us knight worthy
In fairytales
There is always a dragon to be slain
In fairytales
There is always a love to be embraced
In fairytales
Is where most of us feel alive
In fairytales
Is where most of us find a way
In fairytales
Is what we want to become ours
In fairytales
Things work for all but a time
In fairytales
Is where the truth and reality
Have no reason to coincide
In fairytales
We cannot forever reside
Because out here in the real world
Fairytales have no place
And certainly they will not
Keep us safe from what in time
We all must come to face…
