poem for broken hearts
Broken

I believed all the lies you told me,
I trusted every single word you said.
Your words that I thought were truths
Were just mirages, just words in the wind.
I was emotionally naked in front of you
But all this time you wore a thousand faces
Continuously lying, lying, and lying,
And I sat there, like a beautiful little fool
Believing you, trusting you, loving you.
The little trust I had left is gone
And I have you to thank for.
I want to morbidly despise you,
I want to hate you…
But I cannot, I have loved you,
A part of me still loves you
Despite all you have put me through,
Crushing my heart like you will an ant.
If that was your goal
Then I must applaud you…
I wish I was fireproof
Then you will have never broken my heart…
But you have succeeded in breaking me.
