A poem about bullying.
Your Hate (Just Leave Me Be)

By C. Nicholson

Your hate succumbs to my dismay

I can’t see the light of day

I wish to know why you say

And do these things to me

I just want to be free

Of your lies and jealousy

You’re a bully

Can’t you see?

Why won’t you just leave me be?

What did I ever do to you?

To make me feel so blue

Cast away like a rag doll

Your words are small,

But they pierce my soul

You can’t console me

You can’t be my friend

And my enemy

Your hate controls me

Your hate breaks me

Your hate kills me

Why can’t you

Just leave me be?

I am trying to thrive

And not dive

Into the sea

Of depression,

Which I see

Around me

Your hate succumbs to my dismay

I can’t see the light of day

There’s no ray

Of hope

There is no rope

You hate

Me

You berate

Me

You alienate

Me

I just want to be free

I just want to be me

I just want to flee

Just leave me be!
