It’s 2:30

Sleep is eluding me

The pillow is now solid

The bed now a board

What is it?

Thoughts...

Dreams....

They are thoughts

They are dreams

Thoughts of pain

Dreams of reality

Nightmares of past

Relived every night

Subtle reminders

Wounds of War

I long for sleep….
