The run was over.
I stood the cabin window scoopin dry Cheerios from the box. Them hound-dogs had found me. I could see the whole hoopla tuther side the crick. Them boys woo-woo-wooin, noses to the ground.

I had me a dog once. I named him Yella. Them dogs a comin now weren’t nothin like him. These’uns here probably all named Blue.
