Of my peers
In awe of you
Dare I stand
How do you do it
I really don’t know
How could I ever
I won’t
In silence I watch
Amazed
As you bullshit
Your way through life
Accepting things as is
Refusing to question
Even the most basic
Ideological pretenses
You wage no wars
Fight no battles
Purely a pacifist
Oh so contagious
Lemmings
In lines of plenty
Wait to be infected
Thus be digested
But not me
Putrid pleasantries aside
I’m more
Than you can stomach
Your gut
Holds only so much
If everyone else is caviar
Then I am ramen noodles
Foul is my flavor
Satisfying never
Only used is circumstances
Where currency is lacking
Of my peers
Reality not quite clear
Words are weapons
But there is no bout
No obfuscation
Just utter acceptance
Those you mentally fondle
Are deserving as much
Those you find sexual
Are ignorant sheep
Willing to find meaning
Where there is none
But not me
All of my orifices
Are dangerous encampments
Increasingly occupied
By my ever-widening
Mindscape
Each detail is harsh
Never dismal
My wit and ways
Legions beyond most
My poetic prowess
I’m go ahead and say
Epic
Of my peers
I stand alone
Not because I’m better
But rather because
I’m overtly different
Where you and they
See one finite thing
I see and understand
And infinite amount
Of vastly more complex
Strategies needed to be
Put into correct place
As was said
In awe of you
Dare I stand
