a girl at my school was in a coma, none of us knew how to handle it so this came out of it
Stuck in the water
Dark and Cold and Alone
Fighting for survival
I’m scared, and feel hopeless
Shadows Dancing on the water
Glittering Moonlight prancing on the surface.
My Body is tired
My mind is Weak
As I begin to Sink I feel it
The water Pushing down on My Head
At first I struggle against the grip
But I soon want to Give in and let the coolness take me.
Just as My eyes begin to Close
Red streaks flew into sight
Followed by Swirls of blue and Green
I can Hear people getting Closer
As purple dances into sight
As Yellow and Orange drip into the Water.
A hand Reaches Down and Grabs Me
It begins Pulling me to The surface
I gasp And Flail as Air fills my lungs
I am surrounded by faces
Old and New
Each holding a glow stick to the murky surface of the water.
Together we swim
We swim back to the shore.
